Steve Christopher is a talented Boulder-area trumpet player known throughout Colorado for his legendary teaching career. He currently directs the jazz program at the Colorado Music Festival & Center for Musical Arts, conducts clinics, adjudicates jazz festivals, and performs with various jazz groups in the Denver Metro Area.
Steve's career highlights as an educator include being named the Colorado Jazz Educator of the Year in 1991, being named to the Colorado Music Educators Association Hall of Fame in 2010, and being given the prestigious 2013 Pacesetter Award from the Boulder Daily Camera for his achievements in Arts and Entertainment.
